Home Ministry Director General of Regional Autonomy, Djohermansyah Djohan, informed that the Government Regulation (PP) as a derivative of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) No. 1/2014 on the Election of Governor, Regent, and Mayor, is now available and waiting to be signed by President Joko Widodo.

Vice Governor Inauguration in Upcoming DecemberAfter the PP is signed, Home Ministry can recommend the mechanism of Jakarta Vice Governor election. Thus, Jakarta Governor has a strong legal basis in choose his vice. In the Perppu, it is said that after being inaugurated, governor has 15 days to propose the name of their vice.
